Of all the words which could describe the Christian life, perhaps the most surprising is the word Paul used to describe the perspective of the church at Thessalonica. Many heard of their transformation to become Christ-followers, and Paul describes them as “waiting” for the return of Jesus. One aspect of following Jesus involves looking forward to His return.
