Healing is the abundant life Jesus promised in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full…” and includes initial and ongoing defeat of sin.Sin is failing to meet God’s standard. Sin destroys, sin hurts, and sin breaks people. As God is doing His transforming work in us, we experience initial and ongoing defeat of sin in our lives. It is an ongoing process, but we should also expect victory.
In the book of Ephesians, Paul said, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:11-1
Becoming empowered is allowing God to use you. The Bible says you were saved to serve. Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. “
